The HEIM assesses the local and regional economic impacts of harbors in Alaska, based on information about your harbor, community, and regional fleet. The model features a graphical interface as a front-end to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Northern Economics, Inc. developed the HEIM with funding from the State of Alaska's Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. It is publicly available free of charge.
