Installing the Harbor Economic Impact
Model
To install and run the model, please follow these steps:

Download the model and the manual from the links provided. |
| 2. |
Unzip the model on to your computer. You should have two files: HEIM.xls and Load Harbor Impact Model.xls. (Note: As of Version 1.3, the model is contained in one file, which you should open in the next step.) |

To open the model, open Load Harbor Impact Model.xls. |
| 4. |
Microsoft Excel will ask you to enable macros. Macros are required to use
the model. If you do not get a prompt, please go to Tools/Macro/Security and
select a security level of medium. |

The model is accessed through a user interface written in Visual Basic for
Applications. You may access the actual model at any time from the menu
system. |
Please refer to the manual before you begin.
Software Required
The model has been tested with Microsoft Excel 2000 and 2003.
